
A NETWORK BETWEEN SPAIN, LATIN AMERICA AND THE US
YCultura: Investing in the Advancement of Culture is a regional initiative that aims to establish a Latin American, Spanish, and US cultural development network to provide creative solutions for particularly economically marginalized communities in Latin America.
The Premiere Event
Date: Due to technical issues, the YCultura premiere event scheduled for October 7-8, 2011 has been postponed. The new date is yet to be determined.
The premiere event to be held in Miami, Florida is brought to you by the Cultural Center of Spain in Miami in partnership with the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Miami, the Miami Observatory on Communication and Creative Industries, Culture and Integration Project, and Equals Three Communications, Inc. Leaders from the corporate and cultural sectors will come together to facilitate the establishment of a network for exchanging knowledge and exploring partnerships.
From puppet theaters to dance and visual arts that engage youth and women around issues of critical thinking, poverty, cultural exchange, and more, 20 exciting pilot projects will inspire participants about how arts and culture can be utilized as a socio-economic development tool in the region.
